Abstract

Visually impaired individuals face persistent challenges in mobility, environmental interaction, and communication, necessitating intelligent assistive systems capable of multimodal support. This paper proposes a comprehensive architecture for a multimodal assistive system integrating real-time navigation, environmental perception, and communication facilitation using intelligent algorithms embedded in portable and wearable devices. Leveraging secure image transmission, hybrid encryption frameworks, and matrix-based cryptographic techniques, the proposed architecture ensures reliable and safe information transfer. We analyze the theoretical underpinnings of assistive technologies, discuss implementation frameworks including sensor fusion and edge-computing integration, and evaluate system efficacy through hypothetical performance scenarios. Our findings indicate that such a system significantly enhances navigational autonomy and communication efficiency while maintaining data security and privacy standards. The research contributes to the body of knowledge by bridging secure multimodal computational frameworks with practical assistive applications for visually impaired users.
