Abstract

The increasing complexity of urban transportation systems necessitates intelligent, real-time management solutions capable of addressing congestion, inefficiencies, and safety concerns. This research proposes an advanced model for real-time transportation management based on integrated Global Positioning System (GPS) technologies combined with spatial database systems, web-based APIs, and mobile application frameworks. The study develops a comprehensive architecture that leverages GPS-enabled tracking, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and cloud-supported data processing for dynamic route optimization, traffic monitoring, and decision support. The model integrates server-side processing using ASP.NET Web API, database management through MS SQL Server, and client-side interaction via cross-platform mobile applications. A theoretical and technical evaluation demonstrates that the proposed system significantly enhances real-time decision-making, improves route efficiency, and reduces latency in transportation services. Findings also reveal the importance of spatial data accuracy and system interoperability. The research contributes a scalable, flexible, and efficient framework for modern intelligent transportation systems while identifying limitations related to data dependency and infrastructure requirements.
