Abstract
The performance optimization of three-phase induction motors remains a critical research area due to their extensive industrial applications and energy consumption footprint. This study presents a comprehensive computational framework for enhancing motor performance through controlled variation of magnetic flux density and core material properties using COMSOL Multiphysics. The research integrates finite element modeling (FEM) with parametric analysis to evaluate electromagnetic behavior, torque characteristics, efficiency, and thermal performance. By systematically modifying flux density distributions and employing alternative soft magnetic materials, the study investigates their influence on losses, saturation, and torque density. The methodology combines electromagnetic simulation, material modeling, and performance evaluation metrics to provide a multi-dimensional analysis. Results demonstrate that optimized flux density distribution and advanced core materials significantly improve efficiency and reduce core losses while enhancing torque output. The findings contribute to improved motor design strategies aligned with energy-efficient industrial systems. The study also identifies limitations related to material cost and computational complexity, offering pathways for future research involving AI-driven optimization.
